Web

Everyone I know underestimates the so called World Wide Web. Mainly a source for information, pornography and shameful MySpace pages, we aren't using the web to it's full capacity.

I believe that Web Interface applications are the future. Imagine applications that don't require installation, instantly share information though an online database, publish content on a location accessible to everybody, or a select group using authentication. But most of all, applications that run on any platform. Windows, Mac OS, Linux, it doesn't matter!

I have been developing web applications since I was 13 years old. Even back then I knew that publishing a website was just the tip of the iceberg. In this section you will find a small selection of my web creations of the past years.

Sorted on Name
  1. Boxxle 3: Online
    1. Boxxle 3: OnlineA great project that I did along with the founder of TerraEarth. He's always been a great fan of the Boxxle games for the Nintendo GameBoy. Together we realized an online version of the game that allowed players to build and upload their own game fields and attempt to beat others.
  2. Dirty Bastards
    1. Dirty BastardsA Dutch weblog created in co-operation with a former class mate. Dirty Bastards is a simple PHP/MySQL based weblog system that we used to entertain ourselves and the people around us.
  3. Flare's Cube
    1. Flare's CubeFlare's Cube was my personal website before Just Like Ed. Completly made in Flash and obviously inspired by the Nintendo Gamecube's internal OS.
  4. Hatsjikidee!
    1. Hatsjikidee!Hatsjikidee! is a custom build project management system I built to use for school. The software the school provides didn't quite meet the needs I have for managing a project so, I decided to create my own. The current version is XML driven with a slick desktop look-and-feel GUI. Even though it's quite the beta project, the current release candidate has all its features working and getting better every day.
  5. Just Like Ed
    1. Just Like EdThe very website you are on right now. Just Like Ed is my personal website on which I like to showcase my work. My work has been devided in the categories: Flash, Web and Offline.
  6. Safe Mail
    1. Safe MailSafe Mail is a free tool that will convert any email address into an image. All you do is enter the address, hit Go and an image with your email address in it will be created. A spambot for example won't be able to read your email address, since it's no longer actual text in the page's source code, it's an image.
  7. Safe Text
    1. Safe TextSafe Text is a free tool that will convert any given text into an image. All you do is enter some text, hit Go and an image with your text in it will be created. This is a great way to mask your text or simply present it as an image.
  8. Strip Dir
    1. Strip DirStrip images out of any website with the click of a button. Strip Dir allows you to leave behind the thumbnail view, opening images in nasty pop ups, or plain directory lists. Strip Dir shows all images from the specified page without the stuff you didn't ask for.
  9. TerraEarth
    1. TerraEarthTerraEarth is pretty much the best site on the web for all of your Soul Blazer, Illusion of Gaia, and Terranigma needs. Soul Blazer, Illusion of Gaia, and Terranigma were a trilogy of RPGs that were released for the Super Nintendo quite some time ago. TerraEarth was made to help relive those classic moments you had growing up as a kid, playing one of the games.
