In 2005 a class mate of mine had an interesting idea; creating a weblog system from scratch. An interesting idea indeed. Needless to say I agreed to work on it and we started a week or so later. We had a lot of free time during our stay at school. There was a room for us to work in with our own computer systems and settings, so it was no problem to get some work done during school hours. The system was originally intended for his personal website, which still uses the system today. After we a while of running system under his name it got to much content of a more childish and silly matter. Not so much a bad thing, but it wasn't what his personal site should be about. That's why he set up a second site called "Dirty Bastards." It used the same weblog system, only with a slightly different skin applied to the site. Dirty Bastards was mainly being read by personal friends and other people we knew through school. Visitors never went through the roof but, we had fun. We posted movies from sites such as Kontraband and all the other interesting, funny, weird, or sick things we found on the web every day. It turned out to be a system we used to share things we found on the web with others. Which was sort of the original idea. Eventually we got less and less time to update Dirty Bastards and the site was unfortunately not being updated for a while. There were a few moments were someone would post three of four new items, but that was pretty much it. After a while, it really died. On February 27 2006, my class mate made a huge change to Dirty Bastards. He installed WordPress on the Dirty Bastards site. After that the original Dirty Bastards system wasn't being used anymore. The system is still in use on his own website. The old Dirty Bastards website is not available online anymore but, the new Dirty Bastards website can be visited.
