"Just Like Ed" is my personal website. I've had and still have many different websites about any subject you can think of. Just Like Ed has grown to be my base website on which you can find information about my work and about myself. Creating a design for your personal website it the hardest thing there is. You have to make sure that your website's design matches your personality, thoughts and most of all it has to be informative in a well thought out and well presented way. The last thing you want is a page with a picture of yourself, a link to your resume in a Microsoft Word document and nothing more. The first design for Just Like Ed was a failed attempt at a design which was originally meant for a blog. The blog didn't make it and I needed a design for my new website, so I just used the blog design. It wasn't much, but at least it was something. The former design didn't start under the name Just Like Ed. At first my website was called eFlare.boxxle.net. The Boxxle.net part might have given it away, I was hosted by someone else. Boxxleman, the founder of TerraEarth and owner of Boxxle.net, was kind enough to provide me with some hosting space. My websites before that were all hosted at Tripod from Lycos (because they had PHP and MySQL for free.) When my website was consuming more than 50% of his original bandwidth I decided to no longer host my website at his expenses and I bought my own domain name and hosting space. Before you can start a website, obviously you need a name for it. The name had to be something that made clear it was related to me and it had to be something alternative. It had to be just like me. Just Like Ed. With version 2.0 of Just Like Ed (the version you are looking at) I wanted to created more of a personal space which I could use to display my work, rather than being a messy coded, ugly looking, seldom updated bullshit page, exactly that what version 1 was like. I think I did a pretty decent job. Just Like Ed version 2.0 is easy to look at and very important for me, very easy to update. Visit the project website
